Did anyone see the cover of Sports Illustrated? We have officially taken this web site to the next step.

The cover is graced by the words “The Truth”. There is a picture of Barry Bonds, which I don’t get. I would have put a picture of Rodney Carney or Rudy Gay, but I won’t complain about the additional coverage of our web site. I had asked the editors to expose my URL, but they forgot to include it. Just getting our name out is good enough for now.

I have just hired my first operator to “stand by” and take new orders. You should all feel privileged to have been a part of The Truth from its infancy.

Money's trip to the Bank: (Money's Cash cow to date - 53 wins, 46 losses, 3 pushes). The team in ALL CAPS is my pick.

SYRACUSE +4 vs. Georgetown
Syracuse has gone from a team that was not going to get invited to the NCAA tournament, to a team that suddenly nobody wants to play against.

NEBRASKA +7.5 vs. Oklahoma
Take the money line in this game.

ILLINOIS -4 vs. Michigan state
I continue to be unimpressed with the Spartans.

ARKANSAS +2 vs. Florida
I think the hogs will be one of the more dangerous high seeds in the tournament

IOWA -5.5 vs. Minnesota
The gophers run ends today.

Like my Alma matter Cal, I am limping into the tournament. My clients are dropping like flies. Luckily, I have been roaming the local high schools and I have picked up some new clients.

Money's trip to the Bank: (Money's Cash cow to date - 52 wins, 43 losses, 3 pushes). The team in ALL CAPS is my pick.

CLEMSON -1 vs. Miami

MARQUETTE +3 vs. Georgetown

MISSISSIPPI STATE +5 vs. South Carolina

BAYLOR +9 vs. Colorado

Today's goal: Don't get fired!

My advice is to have as many applications or word documents on your PC desktop as possible so the continuing NCAA updates won't be so noticeable. From here on out, it will be very difficult to work.

Try to look busy too. Carry around a manila folder (colored is better than plain). You don't need anything in it, but you might want to stuff some binder paper in there is case you drop it.

Also, please time your long lunches accordingly such that they overlap on the conclusion of one game and the beginning of another.

Money's trip to the Bank: (Money's Cash cow to date - 52 wins, 40 losses, 3 pushes). The team in ALL CAPS is my pick.

CINCINNATI -2.5 vs. Syracuse
Syracuse is pretty bad. There is no reason to believe that they will be able to turn things on now that the conference tournament is starting.

NOTRE DAME +3 vs. Georgetown
The Irish will get killed inside, but should get good looks behind the arc.

LOUISVILLE +4.5 vs. Pittsburgh
The cardinal is playing a lot better, surprisingly, since Padgett went down with an injury.

This is going to be a good week. It is not often that you can lay down a bet at 8:30am on a team that you actually know something about, like Cincinnati, and then do another bet 2 hours later on Michigan state. It is also nice to try and catch a couple of championship games so that when you take the same team in the opening round at +25, you can sound intelligent.

“Number 4 on the green team can hit the three if left open. I will take them.”

I think the most important thing this week will be who get the number 1 seeds. It could be any number of teams at this point. Uconn, Duke, Villanova, Memphis, Ohio State, Gonzaga, Illinois, Texas and even North Carolina could all end up number 1 seeds if they win their conference tournaments. I do think the seeding is important this year, as the number 1 seeds will likely get to the sweet 16 with ease. The 7 and 10 seeds who will play the 2 seeds could make life difficult in the second round for some teams. Here are some teams that are currently listed as a (7) or (10) on Bracketology; Wichita State (7), Michigan State (7), Arizona (10) and Arkansas (10). I think it is likely that a 2 seed gets clipped before the sweet sixteen.

Money's trip to the Bank: (Money's Cash cow to date - 52 wins, 39 losses, 3 pushes). The team in ALL CAPS is my pick.

HOFSTRA +3.5 vs. NC Wilmington
Two evenly matched teams. I will take the one that is giving me points.

Money's trip to the Bank: (Money's Cash cow to date - 48 wins, 39 losses, 2 pushes). The team in ALL CAPS is my pick.

FLORIDA +4 @ Kentucky
This line is way off. Vegas loves Kentucky. Take advantage of it.

NEBRASKA +1 @ Missouri
The tigers can’t wait to end the season

VILLANVOA -4.5 @ Syracuse
Villanova is so much better than syracuse. They will really expose this kind of team.

FLORIDA STATE +3 @ Miami
Rivalry game should be close. Florida state is better.

HOFSTRA +3 vs. George Mason
George Mason has been great all year, but Hofstra is playing better now.
